Rep. Ann Kirkpatrick in KJZZ studios back in December 2012. She won her bid for re-election in Tuesday's midterm elections..

The general election is 10 months away, and primaries will not be here for at least six months, but ads touting or criticizing Congressional candidates have already started. Americans for Prosperity has targeted two Arizona Democrats, Ron Barber and Ann Kirkpatrick for supporting the Affordable Care Act, but, the House Majority PAC responded on Kirkpatrick’s behalf this week.

Democratic strategist Bob Grossfeld of the Media Guys said the Kirkpatrick ad is very effective, without running from her support for health care reform.
